Based on our factory experience, we have compiled a set of highly practical maintenance and charging tips applicable to all cruise ship batteries, making them easy for beginners to follow.

Daily Maintenance Highlights:
Regularly check the battery casing and sealant for cracks or leaks. Ensure the battery is securely installed and that all wire connections are tight to prevent poor contact. Keep the battery surface clean and dry, remove oxidation from the terminals, and prevent metal debris from entering the battery. For lead-acid batteries, monitor the electrolyte level and add distilled water if it is low-never use tap water or mineral water. In addition, avoid striking the battery, as the internal lead plates are fragile and can be easily damaged.

Charging Tips:
Fully charge new batteries before first use. Charge the battery as needed, ideally when the charge level drops to 20–30%, and avoid deep discharge. Keep the charging time within 8–10 hours to prevent overcharging. In winter, allow the battery to warm indoors for about 2 hours before charging, and recharge when the battery level reaches 70–80%. Avoid charging in high temperatures or under direct sunlight, as this can accelerate battery wear. Following these practices can effectively extend battery lifespan and reduce replacement costs.
